May league roundup

The ladies and men’s A teams have an unbeaten start to the season. The ladies only dropped 2 sets in their two May matches, beating Gregory Fields (10-1) and Cleckheaton (10-1). The men’s A team were unlucky not to beat Shepley A in an 8-8 draw. They then went on to beat Gregory fields 11-4 before beating Longley B team in the first dual fixture of the year, 12-0 (it was closer than that, honest).

The men’s B team have yet to put points on the board with a 12-0 defeat to Holmfirth A and a close fought 10-8 loss to Huddersfield B, before losing the Longley derby (it was closer than that, honest).

After a win in their opening fixture, the C team were winless in their two May matches, losing 9-3 to Oakfield B and in the grip of holidays and injuries, conceding to Mirfield C.

Meanwhile, in their first season playing the Calderdale league, the men’s team have made an impressive start dropping only one game in their first 4 matches (8-0, 8-0, 8-0, 8-1) and currently sit top of division 4.
