Men’s B Team are champions of division 4.

After narrowly missing out on promotion by one point last season, the men’s B team have gone one better by winning Division 4 with one match to go. After a solid season with only one defeat, the lads secured the top spot by beating their closest rivals Cleckheaton B 10-5 in their last game of July.

A win and a draw in July means the ladies’ team have also capped a successful season by securing their place in Division 1, finishing ahead of Thongsbridge B and Denby Dale who will both be relegated.

The men’s A team recorded a win (12-5 vs Thongsbridge B) and a draw (9-9 vs Marsden) during July giving themselves a real chance of survival in Division 1. With just two matches to play, their tie against Shepley on August 6th could be a relegation decider, with the winners retaining their place in the top Division.

The men’s C team picked up their first point of the season with a hard-earned draw against Holmfirth B. However, July’s other results didn’t go so well including a narrow defeat to their relegation rivals Gregory Fields B which confirms it will be Division 5 tennis next year!
