LTA Yorkshire Award winners

Longley were represented in two categories at the LTA Yorkshire Tennis awards recently.

First up, Longley Tennis Club were awarded the Tennis Opened Up Award at the ceremony held at Tankersley Manor.

This award recognises work in supporting wheelchair tennis and our sessions helping people with Parkinson’s. Thanks go to Tony Knappett, head of disability, diversity and inclusion at We Do Tennis for nominating Longley. Imogen and Lesley represented the club on the night.

Secondly, a huge congratulations goes to Longley member Lucas Town, who collected his trophy as the men’s wheelchair champion in the Yorkshire Tennis County Championships - the 3rd year running he has claimed the award. Well done Lucas!!
