June was a better month for our teams…

Following a tough start to the season, June proved to be a much better month for our league teams.

The Ladies’ recorded two emphatic victories over Thongsbridge B (12-0) and Denby Dale (10-1) which has given them some stability in the table.

The Men’s A-team turned consistent form against tough opponents into points with a victory against Marsden A (11-1) and were very unlucky not to come out on top in a 9-9 draw against rivals Shepley A.

After facing their first defeat of the season against Cleckheaton B (11-4), the Men’s B-team continued their push for promotion with two more wins in the month. In the all-Longley clash against the C-team they ran out 13-5 winners and then went on to beat Gregory Fields 10-2 in good time to watch the England match! (which wasn’t worth it).

Despite some good performances, the Men’s C team are yet to find their first points of the year with a tight match against their B team mates and defeat to Huddersfield C (10-2).
